LAPTOP ARMAGEDDON!!!!!!!!!
My computer doesn’t turn on anymore! My joy cannot be expressed other than regretting that I never did back any files up with that external hard drive I was supposed to buy this weekend.
I don’t know what my next plan is, other than sending my computer into HP for repair (who knows how long that will take) or getting a Mac like the other sane people on the planet. So, tomorrow’s update, which is half done on my broken piece of shit computer will not be up on Tuesday. Hell, I don’t know when it’s going to be up!

That smile face is to ward of the deep depression that will shortly follow because I’m not being productive on the computer. Kind of hard WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE A COMPUTER.
So, if any of you kindly gents and ladies want to send in a guest page or something for me to post, then FANTASTIC. I’ll post it when I have a computer at work or something.

I’m going to try and get the files off before I send it in for repair. Maybe I can break out my YE OLDE 4×5 tablet and use my sister’s computer.

A guest page is kind of like fan art that I’ll post instead of the comic, ’cause I can’t do that right now. :/
People can send in a comic page or fanart and I’ll post it to keep people interested in coming back to the site until I get my computer fixed.

I’m bringing home a laptop and a 9×12 wacom tablet from work tonight and see if I can still use such technology. I just tried to draw with it and failed miserably. LOL.

Do not turn to Macs. Wrong. Bad *hits on the nose with rolled up newspaper*
Overpriced toys for dumb people who can’t work a real computer. Also Macs explode like every other day, for no real reason other than cuz its a fucking Mac. My personal experiences with Macs have been nightmarish. But if you need ” real proof”, the proof is the long lines out the ass for the Idiot Bar at the Apple store. And the fact you have to “reserve a time slot” to get your $1600 paperweight looked at. And if you miss it by a minute, they send you to purgatory.
No seriously, they make you sit in a crooked uncomfortable seat in the corner, completely forget you exist, and then tell you to come back tomorrow when you finally say “wtf”. Apple customer service is the absolute worst cuz they’re actually as smug as they are in the commercials. Do you really want to do with a computer prone to catching on fire and then having some smug hipster douche named Josh talk to you like you’re an idiot for not being as “mac savvy (re: jackass)” as him?
I’ve sat in the stupid chair waiting at the Mac bar. LOL. I needed them to recover my hard drive because I was mac-retarded at the time.
However, my old Mac iBook was 5 years old. My HP is little over a year and it’s already a brick which cost me $2000 (more than my Mac did).

Ugh, that’s a git. Those external hard drives are hard to get used to; instead of double-saving each strip, they quickly end up being a place for your iTunes folder to grow bigger and bigger. At least that’s my experience anyway.
Heh. That would actually be okay. I bought a TB of space so that I could have plenty of room. The comic pages sure take up a lot of space. :/
I have a computer service company in Los Angeles and have clients with those problems all the time. It seems like something always happens to their data right before they’re about to do a backup. Sucks.
Is your computer not booting up, not turning on at all, what? Maybe I could give you a few ideas about what the problem is most likely to be.

About getting a Mac, they’re awesome machines but they don’t solve the backup problem. They break too, but people who own them don’t like to talk about it as much because they spent twice as much as everyone else. (Half Joking…)
The backup on OS X, Time Machine, does make it pretty brainless to backup, but you need Time Capsule or you have to remember to connect your external drive.
For PC, there’s a really good free backup/imaging program called Macrium Reflect.
I like using a combination of a local backup and an online backup. The best one I’ve found is Carbonite (better than Mozy.)
