New Page Fail, ConnectiCon, Vote Incentive
As I’ve been mentioning on the site, I’ll be at ConnectiCon in Hartford, Connecticut this weekend July 31 – Aug 2. I’ve been super busy getting everything done in time for the con, so I regret to say that I don’t have Friday’s page ready. Instead of rushing the hell out of it, coloring it in the car, and freaking out trying to find internet access to post it, I’ll be uploading the new page on Tuesday. I hate to disappoint, but that’s the way it is. Con season is pretty much over. I have one small one in November, so I’ll be keeping a tighter schedule with the comic starting next week. Maybe I’ll even work on getting a buffer and work ahead… pfft. That’s funny.
I’m still working on getting everything together, as I’m leaving for the drive down to Connecticut after work tomorrow. Stressorz. I still haven’t packed yet and I think I need to do laundry. Check out the picture to the left to get a sneak peek at what I’m bringing with me to ConnectiCon. I think you can see the stacks of Issue #1, Willie Bandannas, Paul Reveres band patches and some buttons.
I hope to see some of you there this weekend. I’ll be at table #38. [Click here for a handy map!] I’ll have free buttons and postcards, so even if you’re poor, I want to see you at table #38! My twin sister and BFF4EVAH, Lindsay, will be there most of the time as well to help out. I’ll be the one with glasses who looks grumpy. Do talk to me.

Heh, thanks. I needed stuff to fill out my table and not look lame. I kind of just made stuff I would want myself and I’m hoping others will like them too.

Wish you could go too! T.T; Maybe if your new job isn’t making you too busy animating super cool games, you can come to another con with me. It’s fun to have an artist’s table. Y’know you make awesome comics… we could share a table. It would be awesome. Think about it.
I’ll make a big effort to take pictures of the table this time. Especially on the first day.

Heh, I know what you mean. I tend to stick to the NE cons. I think there are some in North Carolina or even Georgia I was considering checking out…
curse my inability to not be able to go…ohh well keep up the good work i can wait as long as it needs to be ^_^

The comic looks awesome! I think I read some where that you were only charging $1?? I hope not, cause I think you’d be totally underselling yourself!
I meant to say this for awhile but I love your site layout and color scheme and your character designs are so fun and dynamic! I can’t wait to start another webcomic with human characters since the anatomy of the bears is kind of limiting at times.
Anyway, if we’re ever at the same con again please come let me know who you are! I think your Paul Reveres is really fun and I’d love to chat comics :)
For the book, I was actually thinking of taking $1.00 off the price at the con, but I didn’t end up doing that. I had to do somewhat of a rush order with Kablam, so the printing ended up costing more than I expected.
Thanks for the comments on the comic too! You know I’m a fan of Bear Nuts, so it’s cool to hear! I used to only do animal-type characters in my comics, so I’m having a lot of fun with humans even if I make them super cartoony at times.
I’ll be sure to actually introduce myself next time I see you at a con, rather than to buy a book and run like I did at Anime Boston. I’m hoping to do some cons next year that aren’t just anime ones, so I still need to decide which ones I’m going to.
