Well, Willie is american, so the Gibson is okay. For the double neck one, I’m gonna say it didn’t come with them from England, which makes sense with their backstory. I’d like to do a separate comic with the twin’s story, just have to find the time.
I like Gibson guitars and I think they’re pretty, but I’ve been trained to prefer Fender guitars. I probably subconsciously gave the “bad guys” Gibsons and Paul a Fender because of that.
I regret that I am sorely uneducated about music. The only thing I know about guitars is that Jimi Hendrix used a fender. I think. I’m learning a lot here!
Awesome! I want to write their story so bad, but I think it would be pretty lengthy. I keep toying with the idea of making it a written piece (maybe with illustrations) instead of a full blown comic. I have to fight with myself a little though because it NEEDS to be a comic and that’s they way I like to tell stories. Conflicted!!
Well that makes sense, still I’d like to see a British battalion with a bunch of Burns Bisons. As for preferences, I have fallen the other way, despite Gibson being pretty heart-less in the past 30 years or so.
Most British bands play American guitars. Gibsons are especially all the rage for a lot of British acts. Plus the imagery of Fender vs Gibson instilled in a comic makes for a more clear rivalry. At least from a musician’s perspective. Which, you being one yourself, will understand.
the detail you put in with the instruments and the building in the last panel looks great. not to mention the shadows for the houses, although i’m confused as to why i’m seeing powerlines in the 1770’s, lol. xD
i agree with couchfort when i say i like the blues. it helps make the red pop more, considering it’s kinda impossible in this case to put in more green. the expression on willie’s face in the second to last panel helps. :3
that said, i can sympathize with willie. as someone who lives without smoking, drinking, or excessive amounts of [censored], i worry people tend to see me as a conservative or something, but the truth is i have a kickass time without the need for it. ^^ whoever said you need those to have a good time obviously needs them as a crutch. :3
plus, like willie, i can’t stand smoke unless it’s the smell of a wood stove. our neighbor has one, and that’s the only thing i like about having that guy as a neighbor. xD
Yeah, those definitely read as power lines. I think I was thinking more, they’re at the dock and those are ropes or something. I should probably take those out.
I live like Willie too. Girls are gross.
LOL. I know what you mean, and I agree 100% about the drinking and smoking. I’m a real hard ass about it too. I don’t have many friends.
why would people not be friends with you. ;^; you’re so nice and good at what you do. you don’t pretend i don’t exist like most of the kids at my college. :[ (which, in all fairness, i don’t mind, since most of the people there who aren’t staff make me want to facepalm constantly. ><;; )
ohhh. those are ropes. well, they’re a little high for ropes. considering they’re at the same height as the rooftops but the same shade of shadow, they DO kinda look like power lines. xD if i were you, i’d leave them; they’re like a funny little easter egg to check if people are paying attention. xD
also, only regular girls are gross. nerdy girls are where its at. -w- (lol.)
This is getting suspenseful I love it!!!
Awesome! Glad you’re liking it. I’m glad to finally be out of the last scene. T.T;
I like the deep blues in this page! And the play of pipe smoke and night fog.
Also Willie’s green streaks, reminds me of old Looney Tunes. Hilarious :D
Needs more purple.
agreed. >w>
<3. just <3.
Yay! :D
I like how the British are using american weapons.

I would love to see the twins’ back story.

Wow. I have no real knowledge of British guitars. I will research them and make you proud! :)
:O Well thanks! :D

Have I mentioned that I love their little triangle shoes? Because I love their little triangle shoes.
Haha. I call them “dorito feet.” I’m so glad someone finally mentioned this.
another beautiful page~~
