Yes, the 1980’s.
David Bowie scared me as a child. I blame Labyrinth, Jim Henson and my chain smoking babysitter.
Also, I think aqua haired guy has the worst job ever: Bad News Giver. He’s been in the comic before under similar circumstances.

I can see why Bowie scared you so much… He freaks me out too. Now that you mention it, Labyrinth is probably what frightened me the most!
Yeah, he only scared me in Labyrinth when I was little. Out of that movie, he’s awesome. The creatures in the movie used to freak me out.
Dude looks like a lady!!! Dude looks like a laaaaddddyyyy!!!! And thank the gods I missed out on Bowie and his exploits -_- I just get the felling of him being a little weired >_>;
David Bowie is still alive and good! He’s only scary in Labyrinth! He cleans up well!
I will take your word for it although I did like him the venture bros.
coming out of lurkdom to tell you that i heart the laynbirth!!!and i have a not-so-secret crush on david bowie…and my heart died a little today when i saw a girl clearly wearing a bowie shirt, and another came up to her and was like ‘kurt cobain? i love him!’delilah-mae
DAAAAAAAAAAAVVVVVVVVVVVVID BOWWWWWWWIIIIIIEEEEEE He can do
the magic dance with me any day. ^_^ PS. I can see how busy he is
=P
Oh geez!
And, yeah, he’s totally busy!
AHAHAHA! This page just made my week. I love aqua-hair-dude and also David Bowie. Was this page at all influenced by this?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPtYmq5qFVA
But also, the art has been getting better and better. I’ve been loving the mood built up by the last few pages, and the palace is just perfect.
Oh man! I’ve never seen that! Pretty awesome! Our George here will be singing too in the future, most likely. Probably a David Bowie song.
These last pages were more inspired by the John Adams miniseries. I used it as reference for the palace and other scenery.
And thanks for the compliments! I think doing one page a week is giving me more time to focus on the drawing and putting more effort into the backgrounds.
Wow, your backrounds are just getting more epic each new page!
Long Live King Bowie!
Thanks! Trying to make them not suck. Still working on it!
That movie scared me too as a kid…he was so freaky.
As soon as I saw that hair I was thinking….who does this remind me of….
Nice job on the King of British Pop Rock.
Hehe, thanks!
I’ve watched that movie as an adult too and I can see how it was scary for me as a kid. However, as an adult, I appreciate David Bowie’s tight pants in that movie a lot more. :D TMI
WAAAAAAGH! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DID IT! I remember talking to you about that months ago! I’M SCHO HAPPAYYYYYYYYYYYY
YOU KNEW IT WAS COMING!
I take my hat off to you, Miss. You have made all my dreams come true. <3
my goodness! he even has Bowie’s pout and stance in Labyrinth! 0_0
NEW FAVORITE!
I think he’s David Bowie’s Johnny Tremain, if you get what I mean.
He should be tapping his boot with a riding crop. ^.^ I
loved Labyrinth the first time I saw it (at ten. Probably less
scary at that age, especially for a person into the evil fae since
she was old enough to understand Grimm had it right). Been
following for a while. Can’t recall if I’ve commented yet or not. I
enjoy checking for updates (A little too often, probably). I like
the mix of history and rock. If this had been the real deal, I
probably would enjoy American history a bit more…
LOL. I think Labyrinth still scared me at 10 too. I’m such a baby!
And glad you’ve been liking the comic so far!
I like’im. :]
YAY YAY DAVID BOWIE YAY

If you watched labrintyh you should get this XD
That looks is fabulous.
