This marks the end of Issue #1. I’m glad I gave extra room for the first battle instead of cramming it into the first issue. The next 24 pages or so will focus on the midnight ride as well as the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Fun times. Totally historically inaccurate.
This week I’m putting together the print version of Issue #1 so I can bring it to conventions to promote the webcomic. I’m also working on some Johnny Tremain bonus pages for it that will prove to be quite disturbing.
I’m really in freak-out mode getting this book done for Wednesday, so I’m going to schedule Friday’s update (page 25) for Saturday, July 4th. Not that I freak out.
And yeah, panel 1 always looked like it could belong in a different type of comic, maybe.
aww man no music -_- oh well well at least things are getting more interesting I love it :3
Sorry. I shouldn’t have said it was next in the last page’s comment. I meant that it was the next focus of the story. I still have to get Paul a guitar that’s not in two pieces. I can’t wait to draw that page.
Glad you think things are getting more interesting. I wanted to have the opportunity to meet all the main characters in the first issue and make it entertaining. However, I’m totally ready to get these kids in “battle.” I wish I could draw these pages as quickly as I get the ideas for them.
well you do have a point there…you really cant play with have of a guitar…OR can you….*wait 20 min*…no you can not play with half a guitar…and now i need a new guitar -_-
Ooh have you thought about putting together a comic book type thing? ComiXPress does a pretty good job with small run comic books I think… (never actually used them tho)
Yeah, I’m trying to get something printed for ConnectiCon. I’ve actually looked into ComixPress and Ka-Blam. I decided to go with Ka-Blam for this first one, as I heard some good stuff from other webcomic people. I’m hoping their turnaround time will be decent. T.T; I always wait until the LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT to get anything done. I’m sure you don’t know what that’s like… ;)
Psst yeah you are Gage! (Yeah not really.) I like the background of the first panel.
Hah! He’s kind of cute if you like bald dudes. He has an awesome powdered wig we haven’t seen yet in the comic, if that’s your thing.
Thanks for the comment on panel 1’s background too. They kind of deteriorated after that point. I’m going to try and work harder on them in the future. I figure if I say it, then it’s bound to happen sooner or later.
Yum powdered wigs! xD
Great comic! Cant wait till saturday. Very fitting date for the next comic.
Thanks!
I should have done something special for the 4th, but I ran out of time. Maybe I’ll finally put that contest up on Saturday. That might be good…
